Sabina Rensholf

Exciting fields of work and, even more, inspiring people: That’s the sweet spot for me.

I started out as an academic teacher at the center of philology in Aachen, and then went back to the Netherlands to build a new career in marketing and sales and especially in the area of space research.

Since 2009 I have been working in the field of Agile. For years, I specialized in agile transformations for governmental agencies, working primarily with leadership to create a safe haven for transformations in the difficult situations that characterize the government sector. The primary question that informed my work then: How to bring leadership to bear in the complex and contradictory pulls of government?

My work now focuses on developmental mentoring and conversational practices. Instead of being the driver for change, I seek instead to work with people in such a way that they themselves become those drivers? To create environments in which emergent possibility is realized organically; environments in which people find their inner pieces of (lost) gold. This is the work that connects me to purpose: transforming leaders and their sense making capacity for ever emerging levels of complexity.

In 2021, after 20 years of being a self-employed consultant I decided to permanently join Avans, a university of applied sciences, dedicated to building up a new developmental environment for future generations.

In addition to my work with people and organizations, I am also a singer. For me singing with the band and the listening audience is the ultimate form of sensemaking—one  that connects me to my deepest calling.

I live in Breda, The Netherlands, with King Arthur and Lady Guinevere - both red and furry.
